Experience in Education
I began my career as an English teacher and department chair at Sebastian River High School, where I worked closely with students and fellow educators on curriculum alignment, instructional improvement, and academic achievement. That classroom experience continues to shape how I view education policy — decisions must be grounded in what actually works for students and teachers.
From 2018 to 2023, I served as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Specialist for the School District of Indian River County. In that role, I led district-wide program development, managed Perkins V compliance and reporting, and worked to align career pathways with workforce needs and postsecondary opportunities. I partnered with local employers, colleges, and workforce organizations to expand industry certifications and strengthen career-connected learning. Data played a central role in how programs were evaluated, funded, and improved.
Long-time Coach
I have spent the majority of the last 21 years as the Head Coach/Director of Sebastian River Rowing. Our student-athletes have earned 27 Florida State Championships, secured over $2 million in collegiate scholarships, and we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support facilities, equipment, and student access. I oversee operations, fundraising, budgeting, and long-term planning, while working closely with families, schools, and community partners.

Today, I work in education technology, helping school districts nationwide develop career-connected learning programs, coding certifications, and innovative classroom tools — experience that gives me a broad perspective on what works in education and how districts can improve outcomes while managing resources wisely.
I’m running for School Board because I believe every student deserves opportunity, every teacher deserves support, and every decision should be guided by data, transparency, and what’s best for kids. In order to be the best, and expect the most, we must reward those who help our district — and most of all our students — become the best.
